- Combine warm water, warm milk, yeast, oil and half of the sugar. Whisk until dissolved and let rest for 5-10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, combine flour, baking powder, salt and the rest of the sugar.
- Pour in the yeast mixture and slowly incorporate everything together with dough hooks. Knead on medium speed until an elastic and soft dough forms.
- Shape the dough into a ball, cover and let prove until tripled in size (about 2 hours).
- Roll out the dough to 1/2cm and cut into circles.
- Lightly oil the surface and fold in half. Gently press with a rolling pin, cover and rest for another 30 minutes.
- Steam the buns for 8-12 minutes.
