  • 125 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 250 g flour
  • 1/2 packet baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Filling
  • 800 g apples
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Streusel
  • 125 g butter room temperature
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  1. Combine the base ingredients and knead into a smooth, soft dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and refigerate for 1 hour.
  2. Peel, core and cube the apples. Stir in the cinnamon and lemon juice.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180┬░C and lightly grease a 26cm springform pan.
  4. On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the dough slightly larger than the pan. Transfer the dough to the pan and press it in until it forms a 3cm high rim.
  5. Pour on the apple filling.
  6. Roughly knead the streusel ingredients and spread them on the filling.
  7. Bake for 55-60 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool completely before removing the pan.
