  • 2 slices shokupan
  • 40 g butter room temperature
  • 40 g brown sugar
  • 20 g honey
  • 1 pinch salt
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Combine the butter and sugar, then incorporate the honey and salt and mix until smooth.
  3. Remove the crust from the bread.
  4. Evenly spread the honey butter mixture all around the bread.
  5. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes or until light golden brown, flipping halfway through.
  6. Transfer to a wire rack and cool for 10 minutes tto let the coating set.
