  • 10 dumplings
  • 1 tbsp sichuan chili flakes
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp black chinese vinegar
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame
  • 1 sheet nori
  • 1 spring onion
  • cilantro optional
  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil for the dumplings.
  2. 3 cloves garlic • 1 spring onion • 1 sheet nori
    Finely chop the garlic, slice the spring onions and cut the nori into pieces.
  3. 1tbsp sichuan chili flakes • 3 tbsp oil
    Divide the garlic and chili flakes into 2 heatproof bowls. Heat the oil until smoking and pour over the garlic and chili. Stir well.
  4. 2tbsp soy sauce • 1/2tsp dark soy sauce • 2tbsp chinese black vinegar • 2tsp sugar • 1tbsp sesame
    Combine the soy sauces, vinegar, sugar, sesame and nori and divide the mixture into the bowls.
  5. Cook the dumplings to package instructions.
  6. Add 1/2 cup of the cooking water to each bowl, add the dumplings and garnish with spring onions and cilantro.
