- Bring a pot of water to a boil for the dumplings.
3 cloves garlic • 1 spring onion • 1 sheet nori
Finely chop the garlic, slice the spring onions and cut the nori into pieces.1tbsp sichuan chili flakes • 3 tbsp oil
Divide the garlic and chili flakes into 2 heatproof bowls. Heat the oil until smoking and pour over the garlic and chili. Stir well.2tbsp soy sauce • 1/2tsp dark soy sauce • 2tbsp chinese black vinegar • 2tsp sugar • 1tbsp sesame
Combine the soy sauces, vinegar, sugar, sesame and nori and divide the mixture into the bowls.- Cook the dumplings to package instructions.
- Add 1/2 cup of the cooking water to each bowl, add the dumplings and garnish with spring onions and cilantro.
