  • 14 cardamom pods
  • 8 cloves
  • 4 star anise
  • 14 peppercorns optional
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 6 slices ginger
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 tbs loose leaf black tea or 4 pyramid bags
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp honey
  1. Slightly crush the spices and roast them over medium heat until fragrant.
  2. Add the water, ginger and tea and bring to a light simmer. Remove from the heat and let steep for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Add the milk and honey and bring to a light simmer again.
  4. Strain into 2 mugs.
