  • 1 tin banana blossoms
  • 1 potato or carrot
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes

  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 2 chilies green
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala

  1. 1 tin banana blossoms • 1/2 inch ginger • 4 cloves garlic • 1 potato
    Drain the banana blossoms, grate the ginger and garlic, peel and cube the potato and finely chop the chilies.
  2. 2tsp oil • 2 bay leaves • 1/2tsp cumin seeds
    Over low heat, heat the oil until smoking. Add the bay leaves. cumin seeds, ginger an garlic and sautee for 30 seconds.
  3. 1/2tsp chili flakes • salt • 1/4 cup water
    Add the potato, chili powder, salt and water and cook for 5-7 minutes, until the potato is done.
  4. 1/2tsp sugar
    Add the banana blossom and sugar, cover and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. 1/4 cup shredded coconut • 1/4tsp turmeric • 1/4tsp garam masala
    Add the shredded coconut, chilies, turmeric and garam masala. Season to taste.
  6. Serve with rice and ghee.
