  • 450 g flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 50 g sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • milk
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 220┬░C / 200┬░C Fan.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder and sugar. Cube the butter and work it in with your finger tips until breadcrumby and no clumps of butter remain.
  3. Whisk up the eggs in a measuring cup. Fill it up with milk until the total liquid is 300ml. Whisk together.
  4. Pour the mixture into the flour. Keep about 50ml to brush on later.
  5. Mix into a soft, slightly sticky dough. Turn onto a floured work surface, lightly knead it and roll out to 1cm thickness.
  6. Cut into as many rounds as possible, work the rest back together and repeat.
  7. Place onto a parchment lined baking tray, brush with the rest of the milk mixture and bake for 12-15 minutes or until pale golden brown.
