  • 1 vanilla pod or vanilla paste
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 250 ml heavy cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  1. Scrape out the vanilla beans. Mix the pod, beans, sugar and cream, bring to a boil and let steep for 10 minutes.
  2. Take out the vanilla pod. Whisk the egg yolks and fold into the cream mixture.
  3. Slowly heat the mixture until boiling and rigorously whisk until it becomes thick.
  4. Let cool while repeatedly whisking, then refridgerate.
