- Preheat oven to 170°C.
200g spelt flour • 70g peanut putter • 80g applesauce • 5g psyllium husks • 50g date sugar • 30g water • 1 pinch salt
Combine all the base ingredients and knead into a coherent dough. Add a bit more water if the dough is too dry to combine.- Set aside 100g of the dough to make streusel. Press the rest of the dough into a greased or lined round baking tin.

Peel, core and cube the apples.250g applesauce • 40g date sugar • 30g cornstarch • 1tsp vanilla • 1tsp cinnamon • 1 pinch salt
Combine the apples with the rest of the filling ingredients and pour the filling into the base.- Mix the set aside dough with additional cinnamon and rip into small chunks; decorate the pie with these. Optionally garnish with more apple and date sugar.
- Bake for 45 minutes, then allow to cool.
